Reminder of public holiday City Customer Office closures

Residents are reminded that the City’s customer offices will be closed on several public holidays over the next few weeks. Residents are encouraged to make use of the various convenient online payment options during this time.
‘Municipal offices will be closed on the public holidays during the next few weeks. Residents are reminded of the simple and convenient e-Services options and we encourage residents to check the City’s website or to call ahead before visiting the nearest office if in doubt. Customers are also urged to settle their municipal account by using the convenient QR code on their invoice which is embedded with their EasyPay number and outstanding balance, and allows easy access to the payment portal for an accurate, efficient and secure payment process.

‘Thank you to our account holders for their payments and support. The City is committed to improving and enhancing service offerings to residents and we again encourage customers to make use of our new online options,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Finance, Councillor Siseko Mbandezi.

The City’s Revenue Department offices (payment, account enquiries and motor vehicle registration and licensing) as well as Traffic Services’ driver’s licence testing centres, Human Settlements’ offices and municipal courts will be closed on the following dates over the next few weeks:

Freedom Day Saturday, 27 April 2024
Workers' Day Wednesday, 1 May 2024
2024 South African General ElectionWednesday, 29 May 2024

 

The Revenue Department’s payment, account enquiries and motor vehicle registration and licensing offices are situated at Liberty Promenade Mall, corner of AZ Berman Drive and Morgenster Road, Mitchells Plain, Table Bay Mall, corner of Berkshire Boulevard and R27 as well as Sunningdale and Lansdowne Corner Mall, corner of Govan Mbeki Road and Jan Smuts Drive, Ottery will be closed on the dates mentioned above.

EFTs: Select the City as a bank-listed beneficiary. Use only your nine-digit municipal account number as reference
Retailers: Shoprite, Checkers, USave, Pick n Pay, PEP, Ackermans, Lewis, Top It Up, Woolworths and selected Spar shops
ATM: Contact your bank to add the City as an ATM beneficiary
